ISM IMPACT

Through our company initiative, ISM Impact, Innovation Senior Management (ISM) is committed to being socially accountable to the kind of impact we have on society and the environment. Through our normal course of business, and with the assistance of our social impact partners, we are committed to operating in ways that enhance the world.

As a company, we work internally to work with residents at risk of eviction, premature institutionalization or homelessness. We work with government financial assistance program and not-for-profit entities when our residents have fallen behind in paying their rent. Our partners generally help a resident if the resident can prove they are delinquent, in danger of eviction and can maintain their rent going forward.

One Tree Planted

One Tree Planted is a 501C3 non-profit based in Vermont. They make it simple to plant trees around the world. One dollar plants one tree. Through this initiative, we are planting trees in Australia. As some of you know, our CEO grew up in Sydney, Australia. For every new resident, we make a donation to One Tree Planted.

Australia is currently experiencing one of the largest natural disasters in history. This year’s fire season has brought about unprecedented destruction as wildfires have spread across every Australian state, burning up nearly 6 million hectares (15 million acres) of bush as of January 2020. But the devastation witnessed in the state of New South Wales is nearly unfathomable – 3.6 million hectares (8.8 million acres) have been lost, over 1,500 homes destroyed or damaged, and 24 people have been killed. New South Wales is home to some of the most iconic of Australia’s wildlife – koalas, wombats, and kangaroos to name a few – and their habitat is rapidly declining.

Honoring a Loved One

Trees are a lasting, meaningful tribute and a fitting way to honor a loved one’s life. We can enable a gift that will serve as a living, growing memorial, and will add to the beauty of the world, while providing homes and food for wildlife and clean air and water for future generations.
